Yahoo Sports Fantasy app undergoes redesign ahead of 2024 NFL season
Features include new global navigation, fresh content, and a $1m sweepstake for players in a private league

Yahoo Sports has updated its fantasy app with new content, a modern redesign, and a $1m monthly giveaway ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
With the refresh, the app has aimed to become more user friendly, featuring a new home tab which provides players with real-time score and data updates as well as allowing them to set their line-ups.
Both the news tab, to help users access information easier, and the scores tab, allowing players to stay on the app to check results, have also been updated.
New content on the app includes a news and analysis show, Yahoo Fantasy Forecast, hosted by fantasy journalist Matt Harmon, and ex-NFL coach and scout Nate Tice.
Yahoo Fantasy U, an online fantasy guide, will help players regardless of their level and experience, from beginners to more experienced fantasy team owners.
There will also be a newsletter, Get to the Points, penned by fantasy authors Andy Behrens and Scott Pianowski.
Existing fantasy shows such as Yahoo Fantasy Live will now air on Thursdays and Sundays to provide last-minute information for players finalizing their line-ups.
Alongside the app announcement, Yahoo Sports revealed that together with NBC Sports, $1m will be won by a Yahoo Fantasy Football player who enters a private league on a sweepstake mechanic.
Registration is now open and closes on September 5. Players must be 18 or over and residing in the US. A winner will be selected on or around September 17.
Ryan Spoon, Yahoo Sports president, commented that the upcoming year will be the “biggest season yet.”
He said: “We’re introducing experiences that make fantasy more accessible for those new to the game, more engaging for skilled users, and incredibly exciting for all who enter for the chance to win $1m.”
The app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
