Unikrn expects to bring esports betting to US this year
Seattle-based firm currently in talks with a number of potential partners to launch its spectator betting product in the market
Esports betting firm Unikrn is considering launching its spectator betting product in the US, founder Rahul Sood has confirmed to EGR North America.
Sood said the firm had been approached by a number of US casinos eager to partner with Unikrn after it developed its virtual esports offering this year.
“No-one has solved this problem of a lack of content in esports [in the US],” Sood told EGR.
“There are a few partnerships we are working on currently and I expect this year Unikrn will be in the US with spectator betting,” Sood said.
Currently the platform offers real-money and crypto-betting via its virtual token Unikoin Gold in a number of European, Asian and Latin American markets.
The firm claims to be the first to be using complex AI algorithms to integrate betting into some live streamers’ feeds.
The Seattle-based company’s skill betting function, UMode, which allows players to bet against the outcome of their own matches, is already live in 41 states.
