Time Out Ohio and Gamban partner to combine self-exclusion tools
Players will be able to sign up for either one or both programs to cover online and land-based gambling

Time Out Ohio and Gamban have joined forces to allow players to block access to online gambling sites and apps on their devices.
Through this new partnership, the Buckeye State becomes the first state in the US to allow players to block themselves from both retail and online wagering.
Individuals can sign up to Gamban if they want to block themselves from gambling online, or they can use both Time Out Ohio and Gamban to ban themselves from retail, brick and mortar casinos, and racinos.
Any individual who excludes themselves via the Time Out Ohio website will be allowed to claim a free one-year Gamban license for their devices.
Gamban currently works with the self-exclusion system Gamstop in the UK and Gamcare to give those suffering from gambling-related harm access to their software for free. Gamban also works with Norsk Tipping in Norway and Veikkaus in Finland.
Gamban also currently works with FanDuel, Unibet, Bally’s, and WagerScore in the US.
Jimmie Hicks, deputy director of responsible gambling at the Ohio Lottery Commission, said: “A Gamban one-year subscription is being offered at no cost to anyone looking for protection from mobile sports betting and other online gambling coupled with Time Out Ohio or as a standalone protection.”
Matt Zarb-Cousin, Gamban co-founder, commented: “Time Out Ohio is a fantastic voluntary program that helps individuals at risk. Our goal is to help people regain control and balance of their lives without compromising on the benefits of new technology. Through this partnership, they can do that.
“We hope other states will follow the lead of Ohio, which has been incredibly forward-thinking at a time when mobile sports betting across the US is growing rapidly,” he added.
