The Unit primed to open New York office as part of global expansion
Irish supplier to open new Americas hub in Manhattan in January 2025 with the support of the Bank of Ireland
The Unit has announced plans to unveil a new office in New York City, set to open in January 2025.
The Irish igaming and sports betting supplier said that the Manhattan base will function as the hub for its Americas division.
Mark O’Hare, The Unit’s head of business development and account management, will oversee the relocation while being responsible for the company’s growth in the region.
The Unit’s Americas division launched in 2023 when the company entered into a partnership with Playstar Casino.
The new office will be housed in the Bank of Ireland’s New York hub, 2 Grand Central Tower, which was described as “an ideal location for The Unit to grow its footprint in the region.”
The hub, which the bank has leased for many years, has helped Irish business owners expand into North America, and is two blocks away from the Chrysler Building.
Paddy Casey, co-founder of The Unit, said: “These are exciting times for The Unit, and with plans in place to exponentially grow our presence in the Americas across the next few years, the start of 2025 will be the perfect time for us to move into one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
“This will be the ideal addition to our existing bases in Ireland and Moldova. The flexible workspace the hub can provide will be integral to our plans and will give us the opportunity to grow the team.”
He added: “This is an excellent opportunity for us to touch base with clients in the Americas and strategize further launches. We’re looking forward to mapping out our future in the region with our team on the ground there.
