The Stars Group inks Michigan betting and gaming partnership
Operator will launch poker, casino and betting in the state via a market-access deal with the Odawa tribe

The Stars Group (TSG) is the second operator to enter Michigan this week via a market-access deal with the Little Traverse Bay Band of the Odawa Indians Gaming Authority (Odawa).
TSG has gained first-skin market access to operate its PokerStars poker and casino offering as well as Fox Bet’s betting products.
Odawa will take a share of revenues made by TSG in the state.
Fox Bet CEO Robin Chhabra said: “We are excited to announce this agreement with the Odawa tribe, which further strengthens our market access as we work to continue to build our Fox Bet business into one of the leaders in the emerging US online betting and gaming market.”
Tribal council for the Little Traverse Bay Band Odawa Fred Harington Jr said: “The Tribe’s partnership with The Stars Group extends beyond our reservation and places the thrill of world class sports betting and online gaming under every fingertip sliding across a touchscreen in the State of Michigan.”
Michigan passed betting and egaming into law in December, although the final regulations still need to be determined. Lawmakers expect the first betting sites and apps to go live in Michigan during March Madness.
TSG launched its poker network in Pennsylvania in November through its partnership with Mount Airy Casino Resort in Pocono.
