Sportradar to power full AmTote sports betting product
Platform to be rolled out at all existing and future racecourse partners
Pari-mutuel racing operator AmTote has announced the signing of an agreement with Sportradar which will see the supplier provide a full-service US sports betting platform.
Under the terms of the agreement the Sportradar Managed Trading Services (MTS) platform will be integrated into the existing AmTote Spectrum system, which it uses to manage its betting operations, and rolled out at all of AmTote’s existing racetracks in the US – regulation permitting.
AmTote processes more than $8 billion in pari-mutuel wagers annually in the US via its Spectrum platform, and approximately $5bn globally in fixed-odds sports wagers.
“The addition of Sportradar to our solution provides a truly best-in-class turnkey product that will allow AmTote’s US customers to implement sports betting in a manner that integrates seamlessly into their existing infrastructure and operations,” said AmTote’s president, Keith Johnson.
AmTote is owned by The Stronach Group, a company with a portfolio of racing and gaming businesses.
Johnson added: “We have long looked forward to the day that we could fully leverage our Spectrum wagering platform for our traditional customer market in the US, combining its extensive fixed-odds sports betting capabilities with our pari-mutuel products.”
Sportradar’s vice president of sales, Neale Deeley added: “We are extremely pleased to be supporting AmTote’s sports betting platform with our MTS services. Our teams have been working closely together over the last few months and we look forward to helping AmTote customers to make the most of the sports betting opportunity across the US,”
