Sportradar signs data deal with satellite TV provider DISH
Real-time NFL, NHL and NBA data will be available via the company’s Game Finder app
Sportradar has become the official sports data provider for US satellite TV provider DISH.
The provider’s data will be used in DISH sports programming and its Game Finder app which enables users to follow real-time scores from sports games.
The firm will provide DISH with data from the NBA, NHL and MLB.
Brian Josephs, vice president of digital sport at Sportradar, said: “DISH is a well-respected leader in the pay-TV space and has been a mainstay for consumers for nearly 40 years.
“We look forward to working with DISH in providing fresh and enhanced sports data experiences for its loyal customers,” Josephs said.
The deal will also see data integrated across DISH’s multiple platforms, including its Anywhere app.
Sportradar is in the final stages of a multi-million pound deal to acquire sports betting platform provider Optima.
The deal is currently in the due diligence phase and could be announced as early as next week, EGR understands.
