
Social casino drives SG Interactive Q2 growth
Nasdaq-listed firm hails benefits of new apps and Spicerack Media acquisition


Scientific Games has reported a 28% jump in Q2 revenues from its interactive segment to $107m, with growth driven by a growing social games business.
Social gaming B2C revenue climbed 32% to $91m, which the provider attributed to the ongoing popularity a of Jackpot Party Social Casino, coupled with the success of more recent apps, such as 88 Fortunes, and the acquisition of Spicerack Media in April which included the Bingo Showdown app.
Operating income increased 37% for the interactive segment to $18.8m, primarily reflecting the higher revenues, while AEBITDA rose 35% to $24.6m.
Sci Games also reported higher marketing expenses to support on ongoing growth and pre-launch game development expenses.

SG Interactive’s B2B revenues grew 1% to $16m.
