Smarkets to launch SBK sportsbook app in Iowa
Collaborative partnership with Affinity Interactive will see product rolled out in Hawkeye State

London-based betting exchange Smarkets has announced a collaborative agreement with omni-channel gaming firm Affinity Interactive to provide its SBK sportsbook app in the state of Iowa.
The app will launch in the Hawkeye state later this year and will draw prices from the Smarkets betting exchange.
The app has been live for almost two years in Colorado having launched in June 2020 following the signing of a multi-million dollar agreement with Full House Resorts in 2019. It is also planned to be rolled out in Indiana before the launch in Iowa.
Jason Trost, CEO and founder of Smarkets, said, “I’m incredibly excited about this deal. The potential for SBK is huge in America, so adding our third licensed state is key as we move to our next stage of growth.
“It is particularly meaningful for me as my family is from Iowa, and so I have always wanted the opportunity to launch there. I can’t wait for bettors in Iowa to enjoy SBK’s market-leading odds,” he added.
Mary Beth Higgins, CEO of Affinity Interactive, said: “We are pleased to help Smarkets add SBK to another US marketplace, and look forward to welcoming them to Iowa.”
Affinity Interactive has almost one million combined customers and provides technology to land-based casinos in Nevada, Missouri, and Iowa
