Slots Tracker: IGT and Pragmatic Play begin 2025 at the top of US and Canadian rankings
IGT still at the top of the US pack to start the year, while Pragmatic Play maintains 13 of the top 20 spots in Canada
IGT’s Cash Eruption started 2025 as it ended 2024, atop the EGR Slots Tracker’s US rankings.
The top three slots remained the same in January, with White Hat Gaming’s Almighty Buffalo Megaways and Shuffle Master’s 88 Fortunes holding onto silver and bronze, respectively.
Only one title entered the top 10, Shuffle Master’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure moving seven places from 14th to seventh, while four titles made triple-digit moves into the top 20.
The biggest climber was Red Tiger’s Fa Fa Babies 2, leapfrogging 857 spots into 13th, while AGS’s Straight Cash leapt 330 titles into 18th, White Hat Gaming’s The Flintstones jumped 246 spots into 15th, and Konami’s Fortune Mint: Fu Xing Gao Zhao secured 20th place after rising 133 places.
There were no new entries into the top 20 for January, though six titles – including all five Christmas slot games – lost their rankings, including White Hat Gaming’s Saint Nicked 2 (fifth), High 5 Games’ A Visit from St Nick (12th), SG Digital’s Thundering Gorilla (13th), White Hat Gaming’s Saint Nicked Jackpot Royale (16th), Red Tiger’s Dear Santa (17th), NetEnt’s Santa vs Rudolf (18th), and Light & Wonder’s A Hot Hot Blazing Christmas (20th).
EGR North America’s data partner eGaming Monitor (EGM) examined games across seven states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
A total of 4,246 games from 188 studios placed across 70 sites were scrutinized in this month’s rankings.
Canada
Pragmatic Play continued its dominance in the top 20 Canadian rankings with 13 titles, despite losing three between December and January.
Sweet Bonanza and Buffalo King Megaways traded places, with the former taking the top spot to begin 2025.
Big Bass Bonanza moved into third place from fifth, with the remaining four titles in the top 7 all coming from the Pragmatic Play studio.
The biggest mover inside the top 20 was Fortune Factory Studios’ Gold Blitz Ultimate, which climbed 11 places from 19th to eighth.
Pragmatic Play’s Money Stacks Megaways (13th), Madame Destiny Megaways’ (17th), and Wolf Gold Ultimate (19th) entered the top 20 from 59th, 23rd, and 37th places, respectively.
The other title to jump into the top 20 in January was SpinPlay Games’ Amazing Link Zeus, leaping from 24th to 16th.
Four games dropped out of the rankings altogether, including Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush 1,000 (12th), IGT’s Cash Eruption (13th), Pragmatic Play duo Gates of Olympus Xmas 1,000 (14th), and Santa’s Xmas Rush (17th).
EGM looked at performances across five Canadian provinces: Ontario, Western Canada, Quebec, New Brunswick, and British Columbia.
A total of 4,934 titles were examined across 215 studios and 63 sites last month.
