Sleeper plans on one-stop shop with launch of media division
Sleeper Media to house branded content from creators, beginning with the launch of Kurt Benkert-hosted podcast

Sleeper has launched a new media business, Sleeper Media, to complement its existing daily fantasy sports (DFS) offering.
Sleeper Media will feature creators producing Sleeper-branded content related to the firm’s season-long and DFS offerings.
The launch of the new brand will include the debut of Pocket Presence, a podcast hosted by former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert.
On the launch, Sleeper said: “Sleeper Media has the potential to accelerate our already rapid growth, unlock meaningful new revenue streams and continue to make our app the best place to build and strengthen friendships.
“We plan to make Sleeper Media the most lucrative home for emerging sports creators by sharing the majority of revenue, as well as significant marketing and production support, with them.”
Sleeper has followed fellow DFS pick‘em operator Betr in adding a media arm to its offering.
Betr added to the firm’s media arsenal earlier this year with combat sports media division Betr Combat.
Speaking to EGR earlier this year, Betr CEO and co-founder Joey Levy said the group’s media arm will play a key role in the operator’s future.
He said: “Phase one of Betr Media was about brand awareness, affinity and audience growth.
“Phase two will be about customer acquisition, retention and product marketing because now we’re able to extract value from that enhanced level of focus on social media,” he added.
