Bowskill joined Scientific Games back in May 2012 as chief architect, and was named chief technology officers of its interactive division back in December 2013.
His exit comes just months after Scientific Games completed its $5.1bn acquisition of Bally Technologies, but Bowskill said the takeover had nothing to do with him leaving.
âLeaving Scientific Games was a difficult decision, the business is in a great shape and I was proud of being part of a team that has reshaped and focussed the interactive business into something that has the potential to be a dominant internet casino supplier,â Bowskill told eGR NA.
âUltimately I was presented with a huge opportunity and incentive to leave the egaming industry to be part of a company that I feel passionately will become a world leader in music technology.
âThe Scientific Games management team respected my desire to move on and I worked closely with my colleges to ensure the technology and game production within SG Interactive was left in safe hands.â
TouchTunes is a music technology company that supplies digital jukeboxes to more than 70,000 venues across North America.
Bowskill joins the firm as chief technology officer, and will help turn TouchTunes into the âpremier solution for interacting with consumersâ in social venues such as bars and restaurants.
