Scientific Games names Michael Quartieri as CFO
Quartieri promoted to succeed Scott Schweinfurth despite only joining the supplier giant last month
Scientific Games has promoted Michael Quartieri to the role of chief financial officer after incumbent Scott Schweinfurth announced he would retire in November. [private]
Quartieri joined Scientific Games last month as vice president and corporate controller and impressed sufficiently to fend off other internal and external candidates.
He will be based out of the supplierâs Las Vegas headquarters, and will oversee accounting, financial planning and reporting, internal controls, investor relations, treasury, tax, and financial operations.

Prior to joining Scientific Games Quartieri spent nine years at the Las Vegas Sands Corp, ending his tenure as chief accounting officer and global controller.
He also spent 13 years at Deloitte & Touche, rising to the role of director of audit and assurance services, where he specialized in gaming and hospitality clients.
