Rush Street Interactive signs Bobby Valentine as brand ambassador
Former NY Mets manager to provide sporting insight for BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse labels

Chicago-based gaming and betting company Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has announced the signing of former professional baseball manager and player Bobby Valentine as its new brand ambassador.
Known to baseball fans around the globe by the nickname “Bobby V”, the 71-year-old represented the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, New York Mets, and Seattle Mariners in a decade-long playing career before turning his hand to management with the Texas Rangers, NY Mets, and Boston Red Sox.
Having also led the Chiba Lotte Marines in Japan, Valentine will bring considerable knowledge and experience to the new partnership, which will see him provide exclusive network and social media content for the two RSI-owned online sports betting labels, BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com.
Speaking of his upcoming ambassadorial role, Valentine said: “I’m happy to be joining the BetRivers team at an exciting moment in the evolution of sports betting. This partnership will allow us to share my passion for competitive sports while at the same time providing valuable commentary for fans.”
As a Stamford, Connecticut native, Valentine added that he was particularly looking forward to engaging with bettors in his home state, where RSI first launched retail and online sportsbooks in October 2021.
With Valentine also having extensive experience as an analyst and announcer for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball and NBC Sports, Richard Schwartz, CEO of RSI, is predicting big things from the MLB veteran. “We are thrilled to have Bobby Valentine join our BetRivers family of brand ambassadors,” he said. “His vast knowledge and valuable MLB insights will prove a tremendous asset to our sports bettors.”
Established in Chicago in 2012, RSI was named casino operator of the year, customer services operator of the year and social gaming operator of the year at the 2021 EGR North America Awards.
