Rush Street Interactive launches in Peru with RushBet
Chicago-based operator adds Peru to its Latam roster in a “pivotal step” to the company’s expansion plans

Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has expanded into Peru with the launch of its RushBet brand in the market.
Peru becomes the third Latam market RSI has entered, after launching in Colombia in 2018 and Mexico in 2022.
RushBet will offer customers a “proven offering tailored to local preferences”, offering social features, casino games, and an extensive sportsbook offering which includes markets for the Peruvian Liga 1, the English Premier League, and the Champions League.
New online casino and sports betting regulations were approved in Peru in October 2023, with operators able to apply for a license in the country from February 2024 onwards.
Speaking about RSI’s Peru market entry, CEO Richard Schwartz said he was planning on building upon the foundations it has already laid in Latam.
He said: “Expanding into Peru is a pivotal step in our mission to become a leading online gaming operator across the Americas.
“This move allows us to leverage our proven operational expertise in Latin America, particularly the brand equity and operational efficiencies we’ve built in the region over the past six years.
“Importantly, Peru shares key media markets with Colombia. Consequently, Peruvian sports fans are familiar with the RushBet brand through its presence on shared television networks including ESPN and DirectTV.
“In addition, Peru’s vibrant sports culture and growing digital economy present an exciting long-term opportunity for RushBet to offer our best-in-class product to a new and enthusiastic audience,” he added.
Back in August 2023, Schwartz spoke of the company’s desire to move forward with its Latam expansion after Colombia and Mexico.
He stated that other countries present a “sizeable” opportunity due to their population sizes, citing Peru’s population of 33 million people.
During Q1 2024, RSI reported 224,000 monthly active users in Latam, representing a 72% year-on-year (YOY) increase from the same period in 2023.
The average revenue per monthly active user in Latam was $43, up 4% YOY.
Schwartz continued: “We expect Peru to become a key component of our Latin American portfolio, complementing our operations in Colombia and Mexico, and providing a platform for potential further expansion in the region.
“We’re excited to bring this expertise to Peru, where we see significant potential for growth in both online casino and sports betting segments. This launch is not just about entering a new market; it’s about building on our vision to create an engaging, unique online gaming experience across the Americas.”
Back in May, RSI reappointed Judith Gold, Paul Wierbicki and Daniel Yih to its board of directors for the next three years until the conclusion of its 2027 AGM.
