Rivalry hires former Deloitte head as interim CFO
Demi Abidogun-Benson steps up from senior manager role with TSX-listed operator to replace the departing Kejda Qorri
Rivalry has appointed former Deloitte head Demi Abidogun-Benson as the operator’s interim CFO following the departure of Kejda Qorri.
The transition will take place immediately, with Qorri leaving the esports-first operator in order to spend more time with her family.
Qorri, a former National Bank of Canada accountant, had served as Rivalry’s finance chief since July 2017.
She will be replaced by Abidogun-Benson, who has been with Rivalry since February 2022 when she joined as senior manager overseeing corporate reporting, planning, and analysis.
Abidogun-Benson spent 17 months as director of finance at Swash Digital prior to joining Rivalry.
She also had a 10-year stint with Deloitte spread across offices in the UK, Romania, and Canada.

“I’m also very excited to have Demi, a long-standing and key member of our finance team, step in as interim CFO where I’m confident she will succeed.”
Qorri said it had been a “pleasure” to work at Rivalry as she passed her congratulations onto Abidogun-Benson.
She remarked: “I have a tremendous amount of confidence in the brand, its leadership team, and look forward to watching them grow. I also want to congratulate Demi who will be stepping in as interim CFO.
“Demi is a natural leader with a deep understanding of Rivalry’s business, and I’m positive she will continue her track record of achievement in this new role.”
Rivalry has confirmed it will release its Q2 earnings report on August 29.
