PrizePicks confirms new chief people officer and RG lead in talent swoop
Former Warner Bros. head Renee White to lead HR function while Phil Sherwood to step in to deliver “gold standard” for responsible gaming for Atlanta-based firm

PrizePicks has named former Warner Bros. head Renee White as the group’s new chief people officer.
White joins the DFS operator after almost two decades with Warner Bros. and Discovery across a series of roles, culminating in her position as head of people and culture for Turner Sports, Bleacher Report, and Turner Studios.
She also served as vice-president of HR for WarnerMedia and an HR director for Time Warner during her time with the business. The executive also spent time in the HR division at the Atlanta Braves in the early 2000s.
Upon joining PrizePicks, White will be based in Atlanta and become part of the operator’s executive leadership team.
The company said White would help “lead the company through its next phase of growth and expansion, bringing decades of experience from blue chip organizations.”
In addition, PrizePicks has named Phil Sherwood as senior director of responsible gaming.
He joins the group from the Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health where he most recently served as chief communications officer.
Sherwood also previously spent time as the president of the board of directors for the National Council on Problem Gambling.
At PrizePicks, he will be responsible for leading the “evolution of PrizePicks’ responsible gaming initiatives to continue fostering a safe, responsible, and secure daily fantasy sports experience.”
PrizePicks added that Sherwood would position the company as the “gold standard in responsible gaming within the fantasy sports industry.”
Adam Wexler, PrizePicks CEO and co-founder, said: “Renee and Phil bring invaluable experience that will accelerate our growth as a company.
“Renee’s storied career as a people leader and her ties to the Atlanta community cannot be understated; having her join us at such a crucial phase for the company is pivotal.
“Combined with Phil expanding upon our responsible gaming initiatives, I’m excited to see both play a role in ensuring our business continues to prioritize its two most valued assets: our people and our players.”
The addition of the new senior talent comes after PrizePicks unveiled plans for a new headquarters in Atlanta, with the promise of adding 1,000 staff to its headcount in the next seven years.
