US-facing operator lands HR veteran Rachelle Carpenter from DISH Network after a decade with the firm

PointsBet has appointed human resources veteran Rachelle Carpenter as the group’s new chief people officer.
Carpenter joins the US-facing operator after spending 10 years with DISH Network in a series of roles, culminating in her final position as VP of total rewards, employee experience, and people operations.
Prior to joining DISH in 2011, Carpenter spent five years with Workforce Strategies as a HR manager and director of staffing operations.
In her role with the Australian-based PointsBet, Carpenter will be tasked with developing and overseeing all aspects of HR, as well as implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives.
Carpenter will be based in Colorado and will assume the position of chief people officer on July 19.
Speaking on Carpenter’s arrival, PointsBet US CEO Johnny Aitken said: “We’re thrilled to have Rachelle join the PointsBet leadership team as our business continues an exciting period of growth.
“Our people strategies and DE&I initiatives are absolutely central to our company’s ultimate vision and strategic goals, and Rachelle’s leadership will enable us to deliver on that promise,” he added.
Carpenter said: “I’m committed to employee engagement, retention, and inclusion, and am incredibly excited to join PointsBet as we collectively build a company that delivers for our employees and customers in every way imaginable.”
