Playtech hires new US chief commercial officer
Former GAN VP of sales joins supplier to head up expansion of all verticals in North America

Playtech has appointed Marcus Yoder as chief commercial officer (CCO) for its expanding US operations.
Yoder, who is on the advisory boards of betting social community BETSPARKET and logistics tech provider Maraleyo, joins following an 18-month spell as SVP of sales and sales operations at gaming supplier GAN.
His previous role saw him as a member of the executive management team which was responsible for opening up new markets for Gamblit working alongside licensed casino operators, regulators, and industry groups.
He brings with him 12 years of gaming experience, having also worked as vice president of regulated markets business development at Gamblit.
The primary remit of Yoder’s new role is to “bring the full set of Playtech gaming verticals to the US.”
Posting on Linkedin, Yoder said: “One of the reasons I joined Playtech is the innovation and production quality we bring to the games we provide.”
Playtech first entered the US market with bet365 in New Jersey in 2020.
The FTSE 250 company is still the subject of a protracted takeover battle with a failed bid from Aristocat having been tabled in October 2021.
In February, it was announced that Playtech CEO Mor Weizer was part of a consortium that was plotting a bid for the supplier after teaming up with Hong Kong-based investment firm TT Bond Partners.
