Playtech establishes live casino studio in Michigan
Supplier’s new hub will offer bespoke areas for operator-branded games and omni-channel content

Playtech has established its first stateside live casino studio in Michigan to support the gaming supplier’s US expansion.
The studio will enable Playtech to offer integrated live content across both retail and online channels and bespoke content for operators wanting to provide branded live games.
Shimon Akad, COO at Playtech, said: “The new studio in Michigan is the first step in our US live expansion as we look to deliver live studios in all regulated states.
“Our Michigan studio is being designed to be one of the more sophisticated studios tailored to the US market featuring innovation and entertainment at its best.”
Michigan is fast becoming a leading igaming hub with Evolution also having established a studio in the Wolverine State.
In its first full month of operation in February, Michigan recorded igaming revenue of $79.7m across its 11 operators.
Since entering the US via a commercial office in New York City in 2019, Playtech launched its portfolio of games in New Jersey with its first US client bet365.
Playtech recently signed a deal to power Parx Interactive’s online operations in Michigan, Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania via its IMS platform.
The supplier has also made a strategic investment in video game gambling company GameCo as part of a new funding round, with prominent Playtech shareholder and SpringOwl Asset Management CEO Jason Ader among the investors.
