Flutter-owned operator and London-listed supplier hail “key milestone” with dedicated studio set up in Latvia to meet needs of Canadian market expansion

Playtech has agreed a strategic partnership with FanDuel which will see the supplier deliver branded live casino content for the operator’s expansion across the Canadian market.
As part of the deal, Playtech has built a dedicated live casino studio to serve FanDuel’s Canadian business at its live casino hub in Latvia’s capital city Riga.
Live casino games which will feature as part of the partnership include, roulette, all bets blackjack, baccarat and 7-seater blackjack.
The agreement includes the provision of the live casino studio to other provinces across Canada, if and when igaming is regulated.
“The deal is a key milestone for both companies as FanDuel solidifies its position as a premium provider of online casino experiences and builds its live casino offering in Canada, and Playtech continues its expansion across North America,” Playtech said in a press release confirming the deal.
FanDuel Canada general manager Dale Hooper welcomed the agreement and the expansion possibilities afforded through partnering with Playtech.
“The addition of the innovative FanDuel live casino studio has been specifically localized to cater for the Canadian market and FanDuel,” Hooper said.
“This unique proposition cements FanDuel’s premium position for online casino in the North American market. The agreement marks the beginning of what is sure to be a successful and exciting partnership with one of the world’s largest game providers,” he added.
Playtech VP of commercial George Voyatzis lauded the partnership with the US market leader as a big coup for Playtech, with the Canadian deal marking the first time the two brands have partnered.
“Our partnership with FanDuel marks a really exciting moment for Playtech and we look forward to delivering our live casino games for FanDuel and its users across Ontario,” Voyatzis said.
“As we build more studios globally and release new content, this announcement is yet another example of live casino taking over the gambling industry on a global scale,” he added.
