Pennsylvania igaming revenue leaps 57% year on year in bumper November

Pennsylvania igaming revenue surged 57% year on year to $93.8m according to latest figures released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).

Data from the PGCB shows online slots revenue of $63.4m, while online table games revenue hit $27.6m in the period.

Keystone State online poker operators generated just $2.75m in November.

Presque Island proved to be the big winner in igaming during November, reporting revenue growth of 501% year on year, just ahead of Live! Casino Philadelphia which grew by 434%.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National and Wind Creek Bethlehem round out the list of triple-digit increases, with igaming revenues rising by 138% and 128% respectively during November.

Pennsylvania’s retail sportsbooks saw a revenue jump of 70% year on year in November, hitting $63.6m in the penultimate month of 2021.

Gross online sportsbook revenue amounted to $55m in November, with PA online sportsbooks generating $704m in handle over the period and $18.7m in tax receipts for the state.

Fantasy contests revenue in the Keystone State rose by 11.3% year on year to $3.5m, with US heavyweights DraftKings and FanDuel accounting for the lion’s share of this figure in November.

At a wider level, total gaming revenue, inclusive of both online and retail gambling and sports betting, increased by 52.1% to $432.4m from a prior November 2020 high of $284.2m.
