
NJ betting revenues slip 33% in April
FanDuel’s Meadowlands product reigns once more reporting revenues of $12.1m for the month


New Jersey’s April sportsbook revenues dropped 33% to $21.1m on the previous month during which earnings peaked at $31.7m thanks to March Madness.
FanDuel’s Meadowlands racetrack sportsbook took the top spot again reporting April revenues of $12.1m, with Resorts a close second with $7.1m.
Online gaming revenues dominated the DGE’s monthly figures with total earnings for the month reaching $36.5m, up 37% year-on-year and down 7% on the previous month.
Golden Nugget reigned, reporting internet gaming revenues of $13.8m. Resorts Digital followed with $7.1m.
To date the Garden State has taken $1.4bn in betting handle with 80.1% of bets placed online.
MGM introduced its BorgataSports.com sportsbook to the New Jersey market this week. The offering is available at the operator’s Atlantic City venue and will enable users to place in-play and live bets, which are not available via the venue’s betting lounge.
