NFL’s Redskins launches FTP game with NBC Sports Washington
Offering to be integrated into the NBCSW live broadcasts and will offer players the chance to win $1,000 each quarter

The NFL’s Washington Redskins have launched a preseason free-to-play predictor game in partnership with NBC Sports Washington Plus (NBCSW).
The game will be broadcast via the NBCSW TV and radio channels ahead of the upcoming NFL season next month.
Users will be ranked via a leader board and have the opportunity to win $1,000 each quarter by predicting things like who will have the most rushing yards in a quarter or who will record the most tackles.

Real-time engagement platform iPowow has developed the offering alongside ChyronHego, which has helped integrate the offering into live TV.
NBCSW senior VP & GM Damon Phillips said the product aimed to get casual fans more involved in the game broadcasts.
“When they are more involved, they stay longer,” Phillips said. “We learned that instant gratification for viewers is important.
“People want to know where they stand. We’re learning a lot. We’re establishing ourselves as a leader in this space.”
NBC Washington has previously tested predictor games on NBA games with the Washington Wizards.
Ted Leonsis, who owns the Wizards, has been a vocal supporter of sports betting as a way to engage fans and bring in new revenue to sports.
