New Hampshire greenlights amended betting bill
New bill allows for five mobile betting licenses to be awarded with likely launch date next summer

The New Hampshire House of Representatives has given the greenlight to an amended betting bill that will permit up to five mobile betting licenses and 10 retail licenses.
The state is expected to go live in July next year, with the first operators to be chosen in January.
The bill now includes a clause for responsible gambling measures including a state-wide self-exclusion scheme and spending limits.
A council for responsible gambling will also be established to promote safe practice.
New rules dictate servers must be housed in-state, as per the Wire Act ruling. One clause noted however that certain data could cross state lines as long as a bet is placed and settled in New Hampshire.
Licenses will be awarded by the New Hampshire Lottery commission via its new Division of Sports Wagering.
The bill must now be signed off by the governor, although his signature is expected, having included $10m of betting taxes in the state budget.
New York is expected to vote on its own mobile betting bill this week, after on-site retail betting was signed off last week.
