MGM Resorts International enters partnership with New York Yankees
The agreement will see the casino giant and MLB franchise create VIP experiences for MGM resorts loyalty club members

MGM Resorts International has entered a partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise the New York Yankees.
With MGM Resorts becoming a “proud partner” of the team, both companies will collaborate to deliver exclusive VIP experiences for MGM Rewards members.
These will include the chance to watch batting practice from the warning track, and the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium.
MGM Resorts International will also have prominent branding on the stadium’s LED signage, first and third base rotational signage, as well as the MGM Resorts logo appearing on the back of the pitcher’s mound during live local TV broadcasts of certain games.
Eventually, MGM Resorts’ Empire City casino will look to host Yankee-themed experiences for fans, including past and present MLB players.
The partnership builds on MGM and MLB’s deal, which was agreed in 2018, that designated the operator as the first official gaming partner and an official entertainment partner of the league.
Michael Tusiani, New York Yankees SVP of partnerships, said, “We are excited to partner with MGM Resorts this season.
“Through branding displayed on signage inside Yankee Stadium and integrated into our television broadcasts, the MGM Resorts brand will only see increased exposure and recognition for its resort and casino properties— especially for the nearby Empire City Casino.”
MGM Resorts International CEO Bill Hornbuckle added: “We remain committed to investing in the community, while collaborating with the New York Yankees to provide unparalleled experiences for baseball fans.
“Our company has owned and operated Empire City Casino and Yonkers Raceway for the past five years.
“As we continue working to secure a full commercial casino license at Empire City, this partnership allows us to further develop these properties to their potential, while providing the world-class hospitality guests have come to expect from the MGM Resorts brand,” he concluded.
Back in June, MGM Resorts penned a streaming partnership with Playtech to bring live casino content under the MGM banner.
