US casino resort adds Donna Langley as 13th member after spending 24 years with media and entertainment firm

MGM Resorts International has added Donna Langley to its board of directors, becoming its 13th member in the process.
Langley joins the US operator having spent the last 24 years with NBCUniversal Entertainment and Studios.
She currently holds the position of chair of the global media and entertainment firm, stepping into the role last November.
Prior to that, Langley was chief content officer and chair of NBCUniversal Studio Group between July 2023 and November 2024.
She has also held the titles of chair of Universal Pictures, chair of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, and president of production for Universal Pictures.
Before joining NBCUniversal Studios and Entertainment in 2001, she spent four years with New Line Cinema as SVP of production.
Commenting on her appointment, Langley said: “MGM Resorts is the global leader across gaming, hospitality, and live entertainment.
“Joining their board as they continue to ideate and innovate on best-in-class experiences for multi-generational audiences is an exciting challenge I’m delighted to take on with my fellow board members and the incredible management team.”
Paul Salem, chair of MGM Resorts’ board of directors, added: “Donna will be a tremendous asset to the board and to the company as it continues pursuing its vision to be the world’s premiere gaming entertainment company.
“Her entertainment background and experience, especially in areas like content strategy, programming, distribution, and marketing, will be invaluable as she offers her guidance to the company and its leaders.”
MGM Resorts CEO and president Bill Hornbuckle also welcomed Langley to the board, commenting on her experience in the entertainment sector.
He said: “We welcome Donna to our board and look forward to leveraging her deep and valuable experience in the entertainment space as we continue developing and producing our own proprietary sports and entertainment content for our guests.
“Donna is globally recognized as an innovative and influential leader with a special skill for reshaping industries, invigorating brands and leading organizations through change. She will be a tremendous asset to our executive team at MGM Resorts.”
Langley’s appointment comes after hospitality veteran Keith Barr joined the board as its 12th member last August.
