MGM Resorts and BetMGM renew responsible gambling NFL partnerships with AGA
Pair will continue to execute responsible gambling campaigns across a selection of NFL stadiums during Responsible Gaming Education Month in September

MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have renewed their partnership with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to promote responsible gambling messaging during Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM).
Throughout September, the pair will execute campaigns that will increase exposure for GameSense, the responsible gaming program developed and licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation in 2017.
The campaigns are designed to promote “positive, transparent, and proactive engagements with guests and customers about how to gamble responsibly.”
The campaigns and the GameSense messaging will appear across nine different NFL venues during RGEM, including the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Acrisure Stadium, the Las Vegas Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium, the Detroit Lions’ Ford Field, and the Baltimore Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium.
The Denver Broncos’ Empower Field at Mile High, the Kansas City Chiefs’ GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (NY Giants and Jets), the Tennessee Titans’ Nissan Stadium, and the Arizona Cardinals’ State Farm Stadium will also feature in the responsible gaming campaign.
Rhea Loney, BetMGM’s chief compliance officer, said: “We’re excited to bring responsible gaming initiatives directly to fans in these NFL venues again this season.
“We are setting a new standard for safety and awareness in the industry. At BetMGM, we believe that protecting our players and promoting responsible play is essential to the future of sports betting.”
BetMGM will also create more adverts highlighting responsible gaming resources, featuring brand ambassadors sharing engaging messages.
MGM Resorts will make a $440,000 contribution to fund responsible gaming research through the International Center for Responsible Gaming and Kindbridge Research Institute.
Also in September, GameSense messaging will appear on table games and slot machines in MGM Resorts’ land-based venues nationwide, while BetMGM and MGM Resorts employees will undergo extensive training to raise awareness of responsible gaming.
Joe Maloney, the AGA’s senior VP of strategic communications, added: “Collaboration is integral to strengthening our collective responsibility efforts.
“Both in their work with the AGA and throughout the legal, regulated gaming industry, MGM Resorts and BetMGM continue to be leaders in forming innovative partnerships that are advancing responsible gaming in meaningful ways.”
