Kambi reports tribal operator partners’ online handle climbs 32% for 2024
Supplier notes that there was also a 51% rise in total online bets, with football proving the most popular sport of the year

Kambi has revealed a 32% year on year (YOY) increase in online handle for tribal operators on its sports betting network for 2024.
The headline stat comes after the supplier released its ‘2025 Tribal Sports Betting Report’, detailing the growth seen by its 11 tribal partners.
Kambi has partnerships in place across the US, including relationships with the Seneca Gaming Corporation, Soaring Eagle, Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, and Desert Diamond.
Alongside a sizeable rise in handle versus 2023, there was a 51% increase in the total number of online bets last year, though the precise figure was not disclosed.
The report, which covers both online and land-based performance across 11 US states and the Canadian province of Ontario, also detailed the most popular sports and betting types among the customers of Kambi’s tribal operator partners.
Combining both land-based and online wagers, football proved to be the most bet on sport, contributing 31% of total handle. It was closely followed by basketball, which accounted for 29% of all wagers, while baseball sat third with 20%.
Soccer and ice hockey made up 6% and 5% respectively, as other sports made up the remaining 9% of total handle.
Football ranking supreme marks a significant change from last year’s report, documenting 2022 to 2023, which showed basketball contributed 44% of total handle, comfortably ahead of football in second with 19%.
Breaking down the most popular sports included in same game parlays, football ranked top again with 45%, with basketball (35%), and baseball (14%) in second and third, while soccer and ice hockey both contributed 3% each.
Heralding the impact of Kambi’s sportsbook platform cash out function, the report noted that nearly 50% of online customers that cashed their bets out reinvest in a new wager within five minutes.
