Indiana Gaming Commission's director resigns and joins Fliff
Greg Small will head to sweepstakes operator as head of legal and government affairs on September 20 after almost 10 years with state regulator

Greg Small, the Indiana Gaming Commission executive director, has announced his imminent departure and confirmed he will join sweepstakes operator Fliff later this month.
Small held his current role for the past three years after taking over from former executive director Sara Gonso Tait in September 2021.
He first joined the commission in August 2015 as general counsel.
During his time there, Small played a role in the state regulator granting its first competitive license in more than a decade — at the Terre Haute Casino Resort which opened this spring.
He will be replaced by Dennis Mullen, who joined the commission in May 2015 as deputy general counsel before stepping up to become general counsel in August 2021.
Small’s last day with the regulator will be on September 20.
In confirming his departure on LinkedIn, Small revealed he was joining Fliff as the firm’s head of legal and government affairs.
He wrote: “I wanted to let you all know that my last day as executive director of the Indiana Gaming Commission will be September 20, 2024.
“Serving as executive director has been the greatest honor of my professional life. I am proud of the work the agency has done and am thrilled that Dennis Mullen will be stepping into the executive director role. Dennis will do a fantastic job.
“I have accepted a role with Fliff Inc to become the head of legal and government affairs. I will begin working with Matt Ricci [co-founder] and the Fliff team later this month. It’s an exciting opportunity and I cannot wait to get to work.”
Fliff styles itself as the “home of social sports gaming”, with the group being founded in 2019 and based out of Philadelphia.
According to the company’s website, the firm also has teams based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and Manila, the Philippines.
Fliff is available to play in 49 states, with cash prizes available in 41. Last year, a class action lawsuit was issued against the business in California alleging it was operating as an illegal sports betting site.
The case was sent to arbitration in January this year.
Thanking Small for his contributions while at the commission, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb added: “Greg’s knowledge and expertise has been invaluable in leading the Indiana Gaming Commission effectively and efficiently.
“The agency will be left in good hands with Dennis at the helm.”
