IGT interactive H1 2015 revenues up 20%
Social division also posts double-digit growth to help partially offset decline in land-based business
International Game Technology (IGT) posted a 20% year-on-year increase in interactive revenues in H1 2015 after social gaming arm DoubleDown and its B2B RMG business IGTi both posted double-digit growth. [private]
The groupâs interactive revenues totalled $185.7m for the six months ended 31 March 2015, and DoubleDown continued to be the main contributor as revenues at the social casino giant grew 20% YoY to $160m with daily active users (DAU) up 10% to 1.9m.
Monthly active users (MAU) fell 20% during the period to 4.9m, which IGT said was due to âincreased marketing effortsâ to âprocure higher-quality players.â
Average bookings per DUA increased 6% to $0.45, with mobile revenues accounting for 41% of total bookings in the second quarter, a 52% increase on the previous year.
Revenues from IGTâs B2B online slots business IGTi were up 24% in the first half of the year to $25.7m.
Despite growth in its interactive business, total IGT revenues were down 19% in H1 2015 to $850m with net income tumbling 78% to $21.9m.
IGT also reported GTECHâs Q1 2015 financial results following its $6.4bn mega-merger with the Italian lotto and gaming giant in April.
Interactive service revenues increased 7.6% to $30.2m with $3.6m of the total coming from GTECHâs Americas operations, while online product sales grew 222.5% YoY to $146,000.
GTECHâs total revenues during the period were up 3.4% to $913m leading EBITDA of $335m and an operating income of $169m.
IGT said it would begin reporting its financial results as a combined company at the end of the next quarter.
