Golden Nugget to launch NBA betting product
NBA Last 90 uses historical league highlights to allow players to bet on simulated games
Golden Nugget has partnered with igaming content suppliers Spin Games and Highlight Games to launch virtual betting game NBA Last 90.
Players of NBA Last 90 can bet on different outcomes of the final 90 seconds of a simulated basketball game, based on randomized highlights of real historic games.
The game, announced in June, uses footage randomly pulled from any matchup in a recent season to create millions of potential outcomes.
Tim Green, Highlight Games CEO, said: “NBA Last 90 will offer Golden Nugget customers a compelling iGaming experience which combines the excitement of the greatest NBA action with authentic commentary and the thrill of virtual sports betting.
“We look forward to launching this, and additional products in our portfolio, with our US partners in the near future,” Green said.
NBA Last 90 will be available via Golden Nugget’s online and mobile platforms in early 2020.
The operator has started to market its sports betting product after its ban on taking NBA bets was overturned in September.
“We will start heavily marketing [the sportsbook] in the next NFL season. We haven’t spent anything up to now, but we will start this season, using a sensible ‘test and learn’ approach,” SVP online gaming for Golden Nugget Thomas Winter told EGR.
