GiG granted permanent online casino license in New Jersey
Supplier switches from transactional waiver two years after applying with state regulator

Malta-based supplier Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has secured a permanent casino provider license in New Jersey having operated under a “transactional waiver” since 2018.
The permanent license will last for five years and allows GiG to continue to provide its online casino platform to Hard Rock International for the duration of the deal signed in February 2018.
“The transactional waiver process is standardly this long in New Jersey,” GiG CEO Richard Brown told EGR North America.
“If you look at the competition, GAN for instance applied in 2013 and didn’t get the license until 2017,” he added.
GAN provides the platform for FanDuel’s Betfair Casino in New Jersey.
On securing additional operator partners in the state, Brown said: “We continue to look at various partners in multiple jurisdictions at all times.
“The B2B business is obviously one of our large focal points to bring in and onboard new clients irrespective of jurisdiction,” he added.
GiG also operates its sports betting platform and affiliate business in New Jersey.
