First Pennsylvania online casinos go live
Parx, Penn National and Rush Street Interactive among first operators to launch in the state

Rush Street Interactive (RSI), Penn National and Parx are among the first operators to launch online casinos in Pennsylvania this week.
RSI’s offering is available via its PlaySugarHouse partnership, while Penn National is operating via its Hollywood Casino site and Parx its Parx Casino domain.
RSI president Richard Shwartz said the firm was the first to make its site available in two neighbouring states.
“Players who live or work across the border of [Pennsylvania and New Jersey] can bet on PlaySugarHouse.com in either state,” Shwartz said.
RSI launched its SugarHouseCasino site in New Jersey in September 2016.
RSI powers its own in-house casino platform while Penn National’s site is powered by lottery supplier IGT and Parx sits on GAN’s platform.
Caesars and Mount Airy were also granted licenses last year but have yet to announce their online launches.
Kindred is planning to roll-out its Scientific Games-powered Unibet casino brand in Pennsylvania in coming months.
The state faced a number of set-backs in launching egaming as the Pennsylvania House Appropriations Committee had difficulty in interpreting the revised Wire Act opinion.
