
FanDuel recruits Pat McAfee for sports media personality partnership
New York-based operator to distribute former NFL star’s radio and podcast content across multiple channels


FanDuel has expanded its partnership with sports media personality and former NFL star Pat McAfee.
FanDuel will officially become the exclusive sports betting, DFS, casino, and horseracing provider for McAfee and will distribute his content via FanDuel owned and operated platforms after signing a multi-year agreement.
McAfee, who had an eight-year career in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts, transitioned into sports media following his retirement in 2016, initially joining Barstool Sports before leaving in 2018.
The 33-year-old hosts the Pat McAfee Show on YouTube, with more than 800,000 subscribers, and hosts a tri-weekly podcast with former Green Bay Packers linebacker AJ Hawk.
FanDuel will distribute the Pat McAfee Show on SportsGrid – the 24-hour OTT sports betting channel, and TVG – FanDuel’s national television network dedicated to horseracing.

Additionally, McAfee highlights, clips and dedicated content will be distributed by FanDuel across its digital properties, social media channels and syndication network.
Under the remit of the deal, FanDuel will offer special odds and unique promotions created by McAfee, and offer customers the chance to engage with him throughout the year.
The partnership will also see FanDuel and McAfee create a talent scouting and development network to develop the next generation of influencers and personalities.
