FanDuel readies new NFL season marketing arsenal
Operator targets simplified betting experiences for fans alongside new YouTube marketing initiative

FanDuel has partnered with YouTube ahead of the new NFL season to provide customers with a slew of new offers.
The US market leader has launched a new promotional offer which runs between August 21 and September 18, in which new FanDuel Sportsbook customers who place a $5 bet will receive $200 in Bonus Bets and $100 off a NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube and YouTube TV.
The NFL Sunday Ticket gives fans access to stream Sunday afternoon games through YouTube or YouTube TV. Existing customers who bet $5 will also receive $100 off a NFL Sunday Ticket.
“This partnership further demonstrates that FanDuel continues to deliver on its commitment to make all moments in sports matter more,” the operator said in a release.
In addition to the YouTube initiative, FanDuel will also debut a new creative advertising campaign that will run throughout the season and aims to introduce new product features, including FanDuel’s Parlay Hub and the new FanDuel Explore platform.
FanDuel Explore allows bettors to place bets using simple options via a narrative-driven questions, including bets like ‘Who Will Win This Game?’ and ‘How many points will be scored?’.
In addition, FanDuel Explore features educational tutorials, popular bets, parlay builders, and is accessible through a separate tab on the FanDuel Sportsbook app.
FanDuel chief commercial officer Mike Raffensperger welcomed the new marketing initiatives and FanDuel Explore, citing the positives for bettors ahead of the new NFL season.
“Partnering with YouTube to help deliver NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube and YouTube TV to our customers places FanDuel squarely at the intersection of one of the most valued sports and media offerings in the world,” Raffensperger said.
“This partnership makes FanDuel the only category partner making it easier for fans to access every out-of-market Sunday afternoon NFL game and elevates the sports betting and entertainment experience for millions of fans across the United States,” he added.
FanDuel’s main US rival, DraftKings unveiled its own marketing initiative last week, debuting an advertising campaign featuring Hollywood star Kevin Hart and former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, as well as a new “The crown is yours” commercial tagline.
The new NFL season begins on September 7.
