FanDuel partners with Operation HOPE to promote responsible gambling education
Operator joins forces with non-profit organization to offer free financial wellbeing training in Massachusetts

FanDuel has partnered with non-profit organization, Operation HOPE, to improve personal financial literacy education in Massachusetts as part of its ongoing commitment to responsible gaming practices.
The program will be implemented through Operation HOPE’s ‘HOPE Inside Program’ and will provide people living in Massachusetts access to financial wellbeing coaches, both virtually and in-person.
With regard to gambling, and at no cost to the state, HOPE coaches will give advice on how to manage “entertainment” spending as well as offer tools and strategies to improve their credit scores and decrease debt.
Signing up for the program is a four-step process which involves: creating an account, choosing programs and being assigned a coach, completing a profile, and accessing the HOPE dashboard where users can keep track of their financial coaching and education.
Christian Genetski, FanDuel president, said the program is the latest step in the operator’s promotion of responsible gambling.
He commented: “Operation HOPE’s work has demonstrated that when individuals have a strong foundation of financial literacy, they are better equipped to manage their spending responsibly.
“FanDuel is committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate, and we believe that supporting proven financial literacy programs is a natural extension of our work to promote and empower responsible gaming.
“Partnering with Operation HOPE, a leader in the space, to help fund critical financial literacy education and providing access to financial counseling in communities across Massachusetts is the latest evolution in FanDuel’s efforts,” Genetski added.
Brian Betts, Operation HOPE president and CFO, lauded the partnership and how it can help those in need.
Betts said: “Through this partnership with FanDuel, we can help empower those who want to learn how to take control of their finances, which can ultimately lead to less stress and a higher quality of life.”
