The new hires include industry veteran Mike Taramykin who was responsible for establishing Zyngaâs Orlando game development studio, which was focused on producing mobile sports games.
FanDuel said the new hires would be based out of its recently established Orlando office, which added to its established bases of Edinburgh, Glasgow, New York and Los Angeles.
The additions take FanDuelâs global headcount past 180, with plans to double the number of employees in its UK offices this year.
âWe look forward to working with our new Orlando team to continue to innovate within the sports entertainment space,â Nigel Eccles, FanDuel CEO, said.
âAt FanDuel we have always prided ourselves on hiring the very best people, opening an office in Orlando is a great strategic move as there is a wealth of sports tech talent based there,â he added.
FanDuel also said that it had more than 1 million players on its books, and that projected entry fees would top $1.5bn this year.
