FanDuel crowned operator of the year at EGR North America Virtual Awards 2021
New York-headquartered operator takes home the top prize as Rush Street Interactive and Scientific Games win three trophies each
FanDuel was crowned operator of the year at the EGR North America Virtual Awards 2021 last night.
FanDuel was selected as the leading operator in the US market by our esteemed judging panel, who said growth across the board, combined with a commitment to media and responsible gambling, led to the triumph.
FanDuel displaces Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG), which had received the operator of the year award at the last four consecutive ceremonies.
GNOG still enjoyed a stellar night however after taking home the gongs for mobile operator of the year and marketing campaign of the year.
Rush Street Interactive was the operator to mop up the most awards on the night, with three trophies for casino operator, customer services operator and social gaming operator.
Supplier Scientific Games also emerged with a treble after conquering the lottery supplier, sports betting supplier and sportsbook platform provider categories.
The virtual ceremony awarded 26 accolades across a host of categories, including six new ones: cloud and IT services partner, DFS operator, payments provider, safer gambling provider, full-service platform provider and standout charitable effort of the year.
The awards followed the annual EGR East Coast Briefing, where panellists discussed the fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic, reaching customers through media partnerships and the future of regulation in New York.
