Fintech and gaming specialist Felicia Gassen joins the operator’s business development team with the remit of “expanding the company’s market presence”

FanDuel has appointed ex-Sightline Payments exec Felicia Gassen as the company’s new senior director of business development.
As part of the new role, Gassen will be tasked with expanding FanDuel’s market presence, developing stakeholder relations and forging strategic partnerships.
Gassen joins the operator having amassed over 20 years’ worth of experience across various senior administrative roles.
Prior to joining FanDuel, Gassen spent three years at payment firm Sightline Payments between February 2021 and October 2024.
She most recently served as chief administrative officer from August 2022 to October 2024, in tandem with her role as chief of staff which she held upon joining the company in February 2021.
Gassen also worked as vice president of communications and senior vice president of business operations at the supplier during her time with the company.
Before moving to Sightline Payments, Gassen spent three years as an executive director at mentorship firm Global Gaming Women between December 2017 to March 2021.
Writing about her appointment on LinkedIn, Gassen said: “Joining FanDuel feels like a natural progression in my journey, allowing me to leverage my extensive experience in strategic planning, leadership, and business development within the fintech and gaming sectors.
“The innovative atmosphere at FanDuel is invigorating. I am particularly drawn to the company’s commitment to revolutionizing the sports betting and gaming industry through cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking strategies.
“This role presents a unique opportunity to drive growth and shape the industry’s future, and I am eager to contribute to and lead initiatives that enhance our market presence and strengthen our partnerships.”
A FanDuel spokesperson added: “Felicia brings over two decades of experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and leadership within the fintech and gaming industries.
“Her role at FanDuel will focus on expanding the company’s market presence, forging strategic partnerships, and enhancing stakeholder relations to further establish FanDuel as a leader in the sports betting and gaming industry.”
Gassen becomes FanDuel’s latest senior appointment after the company hired Caralyn Cooley as its new chief people officer in September.
