Clint Hangebrauck joins gambling harms education business after more than 13 years of service with college sports body

EPIC Global Solutions has added NCAA managing director of enterprise risk management, Clint Hangebrauck, to its Pro Sport Advisory Board (PSAB).
The PSAB, which is made up of 10 members, represents sports clubs, governing bodies, and the gambling industry to work toward reducing gambling-related harms risks to those involved in sport.
Hangebrauck originally joined the NCAA in January 2011 as an associate director of internal audit before being named director of quality control in November 2013.
The former Walmart head took on his position as managing director of enterprise risk management in January 2022.
EPIC Global Solutions said Hangebrauck had played an “integral role” in improving education around gambling harms awareness to student-athletes and staff within its member colleges.
The exec has also facilitated lived-experience talks and launched a sports wagering elearning module to support student-athletes.
Hangebrauck said: “In a new era of a proliferation of sports betting in the US, it’s important to learn from other countries with decades of experience and to break down walls between sporting organizations and other industry experts to work on safeguarding sport collaboratively.
“The PSAB does exactly that and I look forward to serving on the board,” he added.
Elsewhere, Professional Cricketers’ Association senior personal development manager Tom Jones has also been added to the PSAB.
Jones replaced his former colleague Nick Denning, who was a founding member of the board.
In December, EPIC Global Solutions rebranded from its previous guise as EPIC Risk Management following its 10th anniversary.
The company said the rebrand was focused on scaling the business in the US, where it is seeing “significant ongoing growth”.
