Eldorado fires Tropicana online gaming team
Several staff let go following closure of acquisition on Monday

Eldorado has fired the online gaming team at Tropicana, according to US news reports, confirmed by EGR.
Eldorado completed its acquisition of the casino operator on Monday, with online gaming staff, namely the two responsible for online and social casino, immediately let go.
These included Chris Capra, VP of online and internet marketing, who joined the company in February this year, and Dennis Mehaffey Jr, the director of social casino marketing.
Eldorado had not responded to an EGR request for comment at the time of publication.
Eldorado has not specified how it plans to run the Tropicana online casino product going forward, although some insiders speculated it would be handed over to platform provider Gamesys to run fully.
Tropicana last month was the fourth largest online casino in New Jersey out of five established operators, with revenues down 6% year-in-year to $3.6m.
The company’s social casino platform currently comes from Ruby7 Studios, while it has a sports betting deal in place with William Hill.
Very short sighted. The team was great. Sad to see so many people I worked with for 5+ years gone now. https://t.co/euqXM2Fudc
