DraftKings to double Boston office space with new headquarters
DFS operator launches an “aggressive” hiring campaign to find almost 300 new staffers

DraftKings has announced plans to launch an “aggressive” hiring campaign to boost its staff numbers by 75% over the next 18 months.
The DFS operator also unveiled plans for a new Boston headquarters to accommodate the enlarged staff which is expected to grow from the current number of 425 to more than 700.
Around 600 of those staff will be housed in Boston.
“We are entering an exciting phase of accelerated growth at DraftKings as we continue to develop new products and diversify our offerings,” said Jason Robins, co-founder and CEO of DraftKings.
“To meet these needs and remain at the forefront of innovation, DraftKings is focused on hiring top talent.
“We are also honing in on our commitment to Boston by opening a new headquarters in the city. We’re especially thankful to Governor Baker, Mayor Walsh and the state’s legislative leadership for their continued support of our company and Boston’s thriving tech economy.”
The new headquarters will be located at 500 Boylston Street in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston. The 105,000 square foot location – the largest single-floor space available in Boston – is more than double the size of DraftKings’ current office.
As part of the move, DraftKings will create unique employee “neighborhoods” within the building to help foster cross-department collaboration.
The concept appears to mirror the Tribe structure adopted by UK bookie Sky Betting and Gaming.
The relocation to the new headquarters is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2019.
