DraftKings seals first PGA Tour betting sponsorship
Operator expands current DFS deal with professional golf tour to gain exclusive access to tournament highlights

DraftKings has extended its DFS marketing partnership with the PGA Tour to become its first official betting partner.
The Boston-based operator will now be able to use PGA Tour trademarks and gain access to tournament content and video rights to create pre-event and post-event programming.
The deal also means DraftKings can distribute highlights from tournaments to users who have placed bets via its app.
Back in July 2019, the two entities signed a contract recognizing DraftKings as the official DFS game of the PGA Tour, with its fantasy offering rebranded PGA Tour DraftKings Fantasy Gold.
“DraftKings and the PGA Tour have continued to make history with the innovative additions to our agreement which began last year,” said DraftKings chief business officer Ezra Kucharz.
“Golf has been an especially important outlet for fan engagement over these past few months and this latest collaboration is a significant next step for both the golf and gaming industries,” he added.
The PGA Tour earlier this year gained the rights to the GolfBet website domain with plans to launch a golf-focused betting platform in partnership with The Action Network.
It also partnered with IMG Arena last year to collect and distribute data to betting operators.
