DraftKings expands in-house casino suite with new blackjack offering
Spanish 21 added to operator’s table games product portfolio in New Jersey with additional states to follow

DraftKings has introduced a new in-house built online blackjack game to users in New Jersey.
The game has been developed by DraftKings’ online casino development team and is expected to launch in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia once approved by state regulators.
Spanish 21 is a blackjack variant that is often played in land-based casinos in the US.
DraftKings VP for gaming Jason March said: “Spanish 21 has always been a popular land-based casino game and we are proud to exclusively bring the blackjack variant to our casino platform.
“Developed in-house with our customers in mind, we are excited to roll the game out for our casino players,” March added.
During the operator’s 2021 Investor Day presentation in March, co-founder and president for global product and technology Paul Liberman said DraftKings would continue to invest heavily in in-house game development.
More than half (54%) of DraftKings’ igaming handle came from proprietary casino games in 2020, while 57% of online bettors in New Jersey, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania placed an igaming wager during the year.
Liberman said at the time: “We continue to have a robust product roadmap to launch many more of our own games and much more of our own content.”
