
DraftKings and FanDuel neck and neck in Arizona’s October sports betting handle
Pair accepted $220m each in wagers on mobile in Grand Canyon State, accounting for 69% of the overall handle


Arizona mobile sports betting handle slightly increased to $641m in October, according to the latest figures from the Arizona Department of Gaming.
In October, FanDuel almost took the same amount in wagers as state leader DraftKings, with its handle reaching $220.3m, while DraftKings took in slightly more at $220.6m.
In third was BetMGM with $90.5m in handle, while Caesars took in $59.1m in handle in October.
Barstool Sportsbook slightly edged out local operator Desert Diamond for a place in the top five, however, this list is likely to change moving forwards due to the launch of ESPN Bet.
Hard Rock Digital, Betway, Betfred Rush Street Interactive, and WynnBet were the only other operators to take in seven figures worth of handle.
Bally Bet continued to struggle in Arizona with only $350,000 taken in wagers and only beat out Churchill Downs in terms of lowest handle.
Arizona online sportsbooks generated $55m in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in October and taxable revenue amounted to $32.4m after promotional spending of $22.6m was accounted for.
