DraftKings adds Mike Golic Jr. to expanding podcast network
TV personality spearheading new daily podcast with former Notre Dame teammate Brandon Newman

DraftKings has officially added Mike Golic Jr. to its roster of talent for its expanding podcast network, with the TV personality and former Notre Dame football player set to spearhead a new daily podcast called ‘GoJo.’
Golic will be joined by former college teammate Brandon Newman as co-host of the show, which will cover the sports and culture newscycle through a betting lens. GoJo will air five days a week and is set to debut on May 2.
“When I look at the future of sports media, joining DraftKings was an easy decision for me,” said Golic Jr. “As someone who is passionate about creating content, having the freedom to develop original programming is the perfect opportunity at the perfect time.”
Every Monday through Friday, Golic Jr. and Newman will provide breakdowns and analysis of the biggest games on that day’s lineup while welcoming regular guests from across the greater sports and media landscape.
“Mike’s addition to the media family is another example of DraftKings partnering with high-profile talent and trusted personalities across sports media,” said DraftKings VP of programming Stacie McCollum.
“Leveraging his strong social currency, he and Brandon will tackle subjects that represent the broader interests and hobbies of today’s sports fan.”
The addition of Golic Jr. continues a trend of DraftKings investing significantly on the content side of its sports betting business.
The gaming giant recently signed longtime Barstool personality Jared Carrabis to lead its baseball content, and relaunched the ‘GM Shuffle’ with former NFL executive Michael Lombardi. It has also rolled out ‘Golic and Smetty,’ featuring Golic Jr.’s father, Mike Golic Sr., and journalist Jessica Smetana.
GoJo will become the newest addition to DraftKings’ growing podcast network, which is headlined by ‘The Dan Le Batard Show.’ The show will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever podcasts are available.
