Delaware sets new monthly revenue record in April
Video lotteries and online casino continue to surge despite poker fall-back
Delawareâs three online casino operators posted a record game win of $267,801 in April, marking the highest figure ever from the state.
The total was more than twice the figure recorded in April last year and also represented a 2.79% increase compared to March 2016.
Video lotteries contributed more than half of the total at $142,735, while table games accounted for $90,313.
The broader upswing mirrors the New Jersey market which also enjoyed a bumper April, albeit on a much larger scale with revenues at $17m.
However, one blackspot was the stateâs poker market which fell 28% year-on-year and 7% sequentially to $34,751.
New player signups across the verticals were also on the wane with 268Â in April â the third consecutive month of declining numbers.
Around 15,000 new accounts have been registered with Delawareâs three online operators since the market opened in late 2013. The stateâs population is just under one million.
Delaware Park continued to be the largest operator in the state with just over half of the market, with Dover Downs capturing a third and Harrington at around 16%.
