
Delaware online gaming revenues soar 80% in May
The First State reports revenues of $313,648 for the month period boosted by 91% YoY growth from Dover Downs


Revenue from Delaware’s online gaming market increased 80% year-on-year to $313,648 in May following particularly strong growth from Dover Downs, figures from the Delaware Lottery revealed.
The amount played during the 31-day period totaled $11.7m ($8.1m for table games and $3.6m for video lottery), up from the $5.9m reported in 2018 and helped lead to a year-high net revenue figure for the First State.
Dover Downs was the standout performer among the three casinos after recording a 91% increase in revenue to $123,043, while Delaware Park and Harrington reported $127,932 and $62,672 respectively.
Delaware Park took a total of £2.6m in bets during May 2019, Dover Downs took $8m and Harrington took just over $1m.
The Delaware Lottery expected to release its monthly sports betting figures in the next few days.
