
Delaware online gaming revenue climbs 30%
Monthly revenue in the First State climbs to $290,199 after taking more than $12.5m in online stakes


Delaware’s online gaming market reported a 30.4% year-on-year increase in monthly revenue to $290,199 in August, according to figures released by the state lottery.
Online gaming revenue in the First State was up significantly on the $222,504 recorded in August 2018, while total stakes were up 41.7% year-on-year from $8.8m to $12.5m last month.
On a month-by-month basis, revenue and stakes were up 0.5% and 58.2% respectively compared to July. Net revenue year-to-date stands at $2.3m, with $84.1m gambled online so far this year.
Dover Downs was the standout performer in the monthly period with revenue increasing 59.5% year-on-year and 29% month-on-month to $142,237, while Delaware Park and Harrington were up 13.5% and 7.4% respectively.
The amount gambled online in August stood at $5.7m (Delaware Park), $5.7m (Dover Downs) and $1.1m (Harrington).
The Delaware Lottery had yet to release figures for sports betting at the time of writing.
